Ali T. Argun practices in the area of litigation. His areas of practice include all matters of a civil, commercial or contractual nature, and particularly in matters of construction, insurance and intellectual property, whether in demand or in defence.
Commercial conflicts, shareholder and franchise disputes, injunctions, employment, licensing, construction law, real estate and intellectual property (patent, trademark and copyright infringement), estate claims as well as civil and professional liability claims form a part of his daily practice.
He is fluently trilingual (English, French and Turkish) and regularly pleads before all Courts of Quebec, including the Federal Courts. He also pleads before arbitration courts, including those constituted under the American Arbitration Association and the International Chamber of Commerce.
His clientele includes individuals, professionals, large businesses, such as insurers, bonding companies, manufacturers, construction project developers (commercial and residential), wind power promoters and developers, general contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers from Québec, Canada, the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
Ali T. Argun is the former Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Montreal. He regularly represents the interests of Canadian and Turkish corporations doing business in Canada and Turkey.
Being a theater fan, he was Member of the Board of Directors of Geordie Productions from 2012 to 2016. He has appeared in stage adaptations of Twelve Angry Jurors (2012), 7 Stories (2013), A Christmas Carol (2014) and A Wonderful Life (2016).
