Over the course of his career, Bernard Cliche occupied the position as General Counsel of the CSST (now CNESST) Legal Department in Québec.

Among the highlights of his career, he contributed to the establishment of prevention mutuals in Québec.  He represents businesses, corporations and employers’ associations before the courts specific to this area.  Bernard Cliché also acts as strategic advisor with large groups and employers’ associations as well as government agencies.

He has also written a dozen legal articles and is a well-recognized speaker in matters of health and work safety, having given dozens of conferences over the years to different audiences:  union and employers’ associations, medical associations, etc.

He was one of three representatives named by the employers’ associations to the CNESST work group appointed by the Minister responsible for Labour, to make recommendations regarding the occupational health and safety plan.

On a personal level, he is quite involved in his community and sits on several administrative boards, charitable organizations, in particular Moisson Québec.

Over a period of 15 years, he taughtcourses in Public and Administrative Law for the 2nd Cycle at Université Laval and the Barreau du Québec.
