A member of the company's board of directors since 2008, Pierre-Yves Ménard is also the partner in charge of the commercial litigation team. He focuses on construction law and calls for tender. Pierre-Yves assists, advises and supports industry players in all spheres of the construction world. He knows all about claims, defects and contractual liability. He puts his expertise to work for his clients, assuring them of a high level of availability and constant professionalism. The client's interest in finding solutions is the cornerstone of his practice.

Pierre-Yves has successfully pleaded major construction law cases, particularly in the area of calls for tender, before all levels of the courts and several administrative bodies. He represents all parties involved in a construction project, from the client to general contractors and subcontractors, as well as professionals and developers. This diversified experience gives him a comprehensive view of the dynamics of this industry.

As counsel for the construction management team, Pierre-Yves played an active role in the Commission of Inquiry into cost and schedule overruns at the Société Papiers Gaspésia construction site in Chandler.

A seasoned trainer and excellent communicator, Pierre-Yves is a regular speaker at conferences and training courses, ensuring that he remains at the cutting edge of legal developments relating to the various legal aspects of the construction world. Following several appointments as arbitrator, he added commercial arbitration training from the Université de Sherbrooke to his professional baggage in 2023.

In addition to his professional activities, Pierre-Yves gives back. Since 2012, he has been an active fundraiser for the Portage Foundation, becoming a governor in 2016 and a member of the provincial board of directors since 2022.
