About

Sébastien Paquin joined our team in 2025. A bilingual attorney, he focuses his practice on labor law, with a particular specialization in occupational health and safety (OHS). He advises and represents employers at every stage of case management, particularly regarding legal obligations related to prevention, claims, and compensation, as well as in the management of labor relations. He regularly appears before administrative, civil, and arbitration courts, where he litigates complex cases involving, in particular, the application of OHS legislation and employers’ obligations.

Mr. Paquin serves a diverse client base, including organizations in the education sector, mutual prevention associations, municipalities, healthcare facilities, and private companies. He provides strategic guidance to managers facing OHS and labor relations challenges, prioritizing practical solutions tailored to operational realities. He also has a practice in statutory criminal law, primarily in cases brought under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, where he represents employers before the relevant authorities.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Paquin began his career in the Legal Affairs Division of the Secretariat of the Quebec Treasury Board. There, he developed expertise in occupational health and safety, particularly in cases involving the CNESST, the defense of the State’s interests, and the analysis of employers’ legal obligations.

He also brings ten years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces to his practice. This experience shapes his professional approach, grounded in rigor, discipline, ethics, and leadership, which he directly applies to his legal practice.

Recognized for his analytical skills and his ability to manage complex cases, Mr. Paquin stands out for his strategic and pragmatic approach. He constantly seeks to balance legal rigor with his clients’ business needs in order to propose effective, clear, and actionable solutions.
