Claire Fournier began her practice in the litigation department of the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST). She then joined other major private firms specializing in labour law and occupational health and safety law, where she had the opportunity to represent employers in the forestry, mining, manufacturing and health services sectors, among others.
In February 2003, she joined the legal department of the Association des professionnels de la construction et de l'habitation du Québec (APCHQ) where she held the position of Director of Legal and Political Affairs OHS. In this capacity, she supervised a legal team dedicated to occupational health and safety litigation for APCHQ members as well as for various member companies of prevention mutuals then managed by the APCHQ.
Claire has handled litigation cases in all aspects of occupational health and safety, compensation and repair, prevention and financing. She has collaborated in several employee and employer training activities, as well as actively participating in various committees formed within organizations such as the Conseil du patronat du Québec, the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés and the Barreau du Québec.
She has also been a frequent speaker on topics related to occupational injuries and occupational health and safety. Some of these conferences have been published.
